Privacy notice

This notice explains, in plain language, what personal data we handle when you use this website and what we do with it. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where visitors are located in the EU or EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies as well, and this notice covers its requirements too.
Who we are
The operator of this website and the controller for the data described here is ITTA Group GmbH, Lächenstrasse 34, 8247 Flurlingen, Switzerland, operating the Taxolution Payroll service. For any question about your data, write to payroll@taxolution.ch.
What we process, why, and on what basis
1. Your inquiry
When you submit the inquiry form we receive what you enter: your name, your email address, whether you are contacting us as an employer or as an employee, the company and country involved, the employee's canton of residence, the salary range or the calculation you attached, the intended start date, the types of compensation you selected, your message, your confirmation that the employee has the right to work in Switzerland, the time of submission and the page you submitted from. We use this to answer your request, prepare a quote and, if you decide to go ahead, prepare the engagement. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries.
2. Information about another person
An inquiry often contains details about someone else, for example an employer describing their future employee, or an employee naming their employer. Please share only what you are entitled to share. We use that information solely to handle the inquiry it came with.
3. Technical data and server logs
When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the pages you request and the time of the request. We use it to run the site securely, to prevent abuse of the inquiry form (rate limiting and spam protection) and to diagnose faults. Logs are kept for a short period set by the hosting provider and are then deleted. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website.
4. Usage statistics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is used: page views, referring sites, country, and device and browser type. It works without cookies, does not build personal profiles, does not follow you across other websites and does not store your IP address. The statistics we see are aggregated. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the site.
5. Storage in your browser
This website sets no cookies, which is also why you see no cookie banner. The employer-cost calculator keeps your inputs and results in your browser's session storage so that the inquiry form can attach them if you ask for a quote. That data stays on your device, is deleted when you close the browser tab, and reaches us only if you submit the form.
6. What we deliberately do not do
We load no fonts, scripts or media from advertising or social networks, we do not sell personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we make no automated decisions about you.
Who receives your data
Inquiries are handled by our team. For the tax-related parts of an engagement, the Taxolution tax team (Taxolution Advisory LLC, Zug) works with us and may process the data needed for that purpose.
We also rely on a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Vercel Inc., USA: hosting of this website, server logs and the cookieless analytics described above.
- Resend Inc., USA: delivery of the email that the inquiry form generates. The emails are processed in Resend's EU region.
Beyond these, we disclose personal data only where a law requires it or where you have asked us to.
Transfers outside Switzerland and the EU
Vercel and Resend are US companies, so data can be processed in the United States. Both are bound by data processing agreements that include the EU standard contractual clauses with the Swiss addendum recognised by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner. Where a provider is certified under the Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Framework, that certification applies as well. You can request a copy of the relevant safeguards from us.
How long we keep data
If an inquiry does not lead to an engagement, we delete it no later than twelve months after our last contact with you. If it does lead to an engagement, the data becomes part of the client file and is kept for the duration of the relationship plus the retention periods Swiss law imposes on business records, generally ten years. Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted. Usage statistics are aggregated and contain no personal data.
How we protect data
The site is served over an encrypted connection (TLS), the inquiry form is protected against automated abuse, and access to inquiries is limited to the people who handle them.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, for a copy of it in a common format, for its correction, for its deletion, for a restriction of its processing, and you can object to processing that we base on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, write to payroll@taxolution.ch. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), and in the EU or EEA the data protection authority of your country of residence.
Children
This website addresses employers and working professionals and is not directed at persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data about them.

This site links to taxolution.ch and may link to other external sites. Those sites have their own privacy notices, which apply when you visit them.
Changes to this notice
We update this notice when our practices or the law change. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
