TaxolutionPayroll

For employees & candidates

Found a job with a company abroad? Here's how you get properly employed in Switzerland.

Your new employer has no Swiss entity, but you live here. Taxolution Payroll employs you on their behalf, with a real Swiss employment contract, full social insurance and your taxes taken care of.

Your situation

You have the offer. Now you need a Swiss employment behind it.

A US, UK or EU company wants you on the team, but they can't put you on a Swiss payroll. Invoicing them as a freelancer puts your unemployment cover, pension and legal position at risk.

The clean solution is that we employ you in Switzerland on your employer's behalf. Same job, same team, same boss, with a Swiss contract behind it.

A real Swiss employment contract

Full employee protections under Swiss law instead of freelance invoicing.

AHV & BVG contributions that count

State pension (AHV) and occupational pension (BVG) keep building, and unemployment insurance (ALV) actually covers you.

Payslips your landlord and bank accept

A Swiss employment record for apartments, mortgages and permit renewals.

Your Swiss taxes, taken care of

It starts with a free assessment of your tax situation, and the standard filing fee for your annual return is covered. Handled by Taxolution's tax team, in English. Bonus, RSUs and crypto pay included.

Invoice your employer in two clicks

Confirm your month in the portal and we generate the invoice to your employer. Your payslip appears there as soon as the salary is paid.

Most employers just haven't done this before. Send them the short version: what it is, what it costs, and that the whole setup takes 4 to 8 weeks. The employer-cost calculator gives them the exact numbers.

The short version

You can employ me in Switzerland without setting up an entity. A Swiss provider, Taxolution Payroll, acts as employer of record: they run payroll and insurances, you get one monthly invoice at 0% Swiss VAT, and you keep full direction of my work. Setup takes 4–8 weeks. Details and costs: payroll.taxolution.ch

Good to know

What employees want to know

Do I need a work permit first?

Yes. You must already have the right to live and work in Switzerland (Swiss or EU/EFTA citizenship, or a valid B or C permit). We can't sponsor permits or handle relocation ourselves, but for migration questions we refer you to immigration law firms we have worked with for many years.

Who pays for this?

Your employer. The fee and the Swiss employer charges are part of their cost of employing you. They're itemized on the monthly invoice, not deducted from your agreed salary.

Am I worse off than being employed directly?

You get the same Swiss social coverage and employee protections as any local employment, plus a tax team on your side that direct employment doesn't come with.

When should I start this?

Two to three months before your start date is ideal, since the setup itself takes 4 to 8 weeks. Submit your request now. Even if your employer isn't on board yet, we'll help you make the case.

Start the conversation and we'll take it from there

Tell us about your offer and your situation. The request is free and non-binding, and you'll have a reply from a tax advisor with a fixed quote within 2 business days.
